A friend who does exquisite coloured pencil drawings recommended working on drafting film, so I decided to experiment with it. The colours are wonderfully intense and can be enhanced by working on the back of the film as well. This is a miniature, 7.5 cm x 8.5 cm, so quite small.
Galahs are birds that have fun. Give a group of them a telegraph wire to play on and they will take full advantage of it, sliding up and down, flipping over and teasing one another. This is a miniature concertina book of galahs playing on a wire. The drawings were made in liquid pencil using a brush, then intensified with graphite pencil and finished off with coloured pencil and acrylic paint.
